  • 2 Rehabilitation Way Woburn, MA, 01801 United States (map)

Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day
Thursday, September 14, 2023, 12PM -1PM
Massachusetts State House - Hall of Flags
24 Beacon St., Boston, MA 02133

A COLLABORATION OF MASSACHUSETTS REHABILITATION FACILITIES, CONSUMER ORGANIZATIONS, LEGISLATORS, SCIENTISTS, RESEARCHERS, POLICY MAKERS, AND ADVOCATES WORKING TOWARD A COMMON GOAL TO INCREASE AWARENESS AND FUNDING FOR SPINAL CORD INJURY CURE

The SCI Trust Fund was established in 2004 to provide funding opportunities for SCI research in Massachusetts.  In 2015 the Fund was modified to increase funding and renamed the Thomas P. Kennedy SCI Trust Fund in honor of the late legislator who served four decades in the House and Senate and was himself a quadriplegic. Five researchers in Boston have received over 5 million dollars since the Fund began.

After three years virtually, we will be back in-person in the Hall of Flags. Join us for a complimentary buffet lunch while we network and share updates from our researchers and the Department of Public Health. This event is sponsored by Senator Marc Pacheco, Massachusetts Walks Again, and SCIboston, formerly known as Greater Boston Chapter of United Spinal Association.
